Your phone may be turned on without a power button in fifteen different ways.
Turn on the phone using a combination of buttons
Some devices turn on if you hold down a combination of buttons. This will put your smartphone into download mode, where you can choose how to start the system. Do this:
- hold down the volume buttons at the same time;
- hold the combination until you see a screen with a boot mode selection menu;
- select the Reboot system now option;
- navigate the menu using the volume buttons: you can confirm your selection with the Home or Power button;
- wait until the smartphone turns on and boots up.
Via fix mode
Use USB to connect the device to your laptop or PC. You may push and hold the volume buttons on your phone by using the cable. Press and hold the buttons until a menu with multiple choices appears. Use the volume buttons to scroll to Normal PowerUP in five seconds, then wait for the phone to switch to the mode automatically. The device will then switch on.
The menu that appears will have many options. We highly recommend not choosing them if you don’t know how they work. We advise you not to press Wipe data or factory reset if you do not want to erase all data from the gadget. This action is irreversible. You will lose all contacts, messages, photos, apps and other information.
Booting from fastboot mode
In this mode, you work with the device via a computer. This requires special software. You will have to search for programs yourself. The program can be official from the mobile phone manufacturer or third-party, for example, ADB, Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
Go to the website of the smartphone manufacturer: if you have Xiaomi, then the website will be theirs. In the sections, find the support or software page.
Then hold down the volume keys at the same time. As soon as the menu appears, scroll down to the Fastboot line within 5 seconds. The gadget itself activates the mode after time has elapsed. A menu will appear with information about the phone: model, serial number, firmware version and more. Connect your smartphone to your computer using a USB cable.
Run the program on your computer for working with the device in Fastboot mode, which you installed in advance.
Enter the command in the program to restart the cell phone. This may be reboot, fastboot reboot, or another depending on the program; you can find instructions on the manufacturer’s website or in the documentation. Wait until the gadget reboots and turns on. Do not enter commands in the program that may damage the phone or delete data. If you are not sure what you are doing, it is better not to risk it and contact a specialist.
Alarm
Some phones, mostly older models, turn on automatically with the alarm even if they are turned off. The method is more suitable for the future if you are sure that the problem with the power button will recur.
Set an alarm for the time you want to turn on your cell phone. This can be done while the phone is still working or through another device if there is synchronization with the cloud or Google account. Ready! If you want to check your smartphone to see if it can be turned on by an alarm clock, do a test.

Wireless charger

For smartphone with removable battery

How to wake up from sleep mode

Double tap on the screen
Some phones wake up if you double tap on the screen. Just quickly tap the screen twice. The gadget is activated and you can unlock the device. This method is suitable for phones with a touch screen without a Home button; it does not work with all models.
Use the Home button
If you have a Home button, usually the round button below the screen, then hold it down for 10-15 seconds, some devices may take longer. The screen of your gadget will “wake up”. This method is only suitable for phones with a Home button.
Call a locked device
This method is suitable for gadgets that have a SIM card installed. Pick up the handset and hang up the call. The screen should unlock without using the power button.
Volume adjustment

Connect the charger
This is one of the easiest ways. Connect your smartphone to the charger, on some smartphones the screen is activated.
Use a voice assistant
If you have a voice assistant like Alice, try saying “Turn on your phone” or a similar command. The screen should come to life.
Via computer and USB
Connect your gadget to your computer using a USB cable. This may activate the screen.
Use an app to control your device
Some apps, like Button Mapper, let you remap the buttons on your device. You can configure another button to turn on.
